How can I configure uplink static public IP address

Erick Munoz

How can I configure uplink static public IP address.

I have the scenario shown in the image.

I want to put x.x.x.18/28 over WAN1 interface and outbound nat for zone 1000 to this public IP.

I tried over NetworkDesing->Unplinks->Setting->Type=Static, but when I configure the public static IP, the appliance SDI-330 never register on the manager.

    I solved this.

First I connect a DSL to SteelConnect GW WAN2 interface, and the appliance success registered against the manager.

Then I set WAN1 Static Uplink whit x.x.x.18 and the uplink went ON.

once the uplink was ON, I just disconnect DSL, that's it

The other option if you don't have another connection with DHCP is by using the USB config method. To do so, just configure your Site, Uplink and Appliance with the uplink set to the static IP you want. Then from the Appliance page, using the drop down in the top right, click Download Config. You should then download named  <serialnumber>.ocedo.config. Take that file and put it on a FAT32 formatted USB key, and put it into the Appliance. The screen should mention USB Config, and shortly thereafter show connected. Any future changes can be made via the web portal.
